How I managed to stay healthy for the last 6 years with no health insurance.
I do pretty much the same thing each day. I am a male in my mid 40’s and I live in the United States, Florida Tampa Bay.
I usually wake (My eyes open from being asleep) at like 5 AM. I hang out in bed until 7 AM I usually check my email via my phone I have 28 email addresses in it. It is an iPhone 7 Plus which I got on 08/31/2017 through Virgin Mobile USA because they were giving the next year of service to new phone buyers for 8 Cents per month (that was about what it was worth but it made the phone work for cheap too). So I waited until the very last day of that sale to purchase a new phone. Virgin Mobile did not sell Android phones which I had at the time and wanted. When at Virgin Mobile and clicked to purchase a new phone through them, it took me right to the Apple store. So even knowing the next iPhone would be released in a couple of months, I purchased a phone from Apple. The place where I actually completed the purchase would not allow the purchase to go through unless the card that was used had the same shipping and billing address. All of my card billing addresses were P.O. boxes, except for my Bitcoin card. That purchase used up 2 of my bitcoin which I never paid back to myself. Bitcoin went to 20K later that year and then in 2021 it went to 60K and I only had 1. So then at 7 AM I fire up the computer and edit some pictures or video or blog on any of my 4 websites. Then I put on my Apple watch and my back brace (since I had 2 back surgeries) and I go get on my Peloton Bike Plus (which I love) for 20 minutes. When I am done with that, I get in the shower and then get dressed. I take both the back brace off and the Apple watch, it is water resistant, but I have never worn it in the shower. I used to get dressed and then go driving in Pinellas County until around 5 or 6 pm. Then one day in early September 2023 Uber stopped issuing rides to me in Pinellas or Hillsborough County (Hillsborough County is the county with Tampa in it) So I started doing pickups in Manatee County and Sarasota County where I live. Now that my car is broken down I spend the day applying for jobs on Indeed and Career Builder. Then around 5 or 6 PM, I take the following vitamins.
- 500 Milligrams of Vitamin C (since about 04/01/2020 (the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in America)
- 1 X Metacaps (Metamucil Fiber capsules) (since ~03-20-2021)
- 1 vitamin D capsule 5000 IUs per day. since 04/01/2021
- 2 x Nordic fish oil capsules (since ~03-20-2021)
- 1 X vitamin B (since about 04/01/2020 (the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in America)
- 250 Milligrams tablet of Magnesium (Oxide now I get Citrate per Mark Hyman) which stopped me from having tachycardia In only 2 days of use since 12/05/2023
- Vitafusion multivitamin gummies since 02/25/2024
-
Physicians Choice Pro and Prebiotic capsules since 02/25/2024
I then ride the Peloton again for 30 minutes.
When I am done with the afternoon Peloton Ride I swing by the kitchen and drink 1 tablespoon of Atlas Moroccan Virgin Olive Oil (since ~08/01/2021) Then I jump in the shower again and just rinse the sweat off of from the Peloton ride. Then I put on the same shorts and a fresh shirt and then I go eat which since 10/10/2023 that consists of ground chuck 80/20 “Tube” meat from Walmart and a salad also from Walmart that is fresh baby spinach and some cukes and cherry tomatoes (with skinny girl salad dressing) which my mother prepares all of that. I have lived with her since we moved here in 2020. I say that to make certain no one thinks I lived in her basement since I was a child or something. (Florida doesn’t really have basements anyway)
After I am done eating I used to go right to sleep until 7 AM the next morning. I have an app that tracks my sleep that I got when I found my Apple Watch in October 2023 what an awesome find that was. Anyway, that app is called SleepWatch (1 word) and I like it because it takes your sleep time (which is very important) if it is 1 hour or 8 hours or nothing lol it takes the time and everything into account and applies 2 numbers to it. It gives you a number for today and it also gives you an overall score which I think is a monthly number. So my number for “today” was always around like 275 or 290 I was like if I could just get that number up to 300 that would be great. So I was trying to figure out how to do that and it was very tough because I can’t really control what I do in my sleep. So I really like listening to Dr. Mark Hyman getting interviewed by Dhru Perohit and together they talk about a lot of things that are health-related, which I love. So I did a search on YouTube for Mark Hyman and Sleep and they both came right up which was awesome. So Dhru got him to explain it and Mark said to not go to sleep for 3 hours after you eat because sleep will be really bad if you just go right to sleep after you eat. I was like 3 hours? There is no way (well sometimes), so now I stay up for like an hour after I eat, and the very next day my SleepWatch today score went to 418! I was like dang lol! The longer I stay up after I eat, that number gets higher and higher. Recently that number was like 535! There were days like last night when I forgot to put my watch on before I fell asleep (which I hate when that happens) and I got nothing. I am on a free trial of “Shuteye” which is like 30 bux a year (Which I am not going to renew) I did purchase “AutoSleep” Forever for just 5.99 and it is a good app and I really like it and the price a lot. But I like SleepWatch better I think. AutoSleep has other apps that it pitches to you also like HeartWatch for $5.99 also, and I am like “Nope I am good on that”. So that is what I do every day. Since 10/10/2023 I have been trying to lose weight and I have been successful so far. Every month on the 10th I post all of my vitals (including my weight) on one of my websites https://www.onlyyourbodymatters.com I used to eat pretty much all crap and I was 254.6 when I started, and then I watched Mark Hyman say how bad it was to be overweight and I have been yoyo dieting pretty much all of my life so I know how to lose weight, (Keep it off not so much) so between the Peloton and me doing the grocery shopping I have been able to lose weight. I also fast for 3 days twice a year and have an R.O. filter system that I mostly drink from all day. I have an A.S. degree in Network Engineering and in 2016 I had a CCNP (Routing and Switching) and multiple Microsoft certifications. I let them all expire and the only certification I have now is my part 107 drone certification which expired yesterday and I need to renew. So I guess I will take care of that tomorrow. Since I sat and passed the actual part 107 test in 2017, I just renew it with the recurrent 107 test which is free monetarily but takes 2 hours to complete. I have posted some about 20% of the pictures I took with it before and after my rides in Pinellas County on one of my websites https://www.justawesomeshots.com. I am going to start Friday morning after my morning Peloton ride lifting these weights that I got over the years. I have 2, 25-pound dumbbells which are perfect for what I need (They are really heavy dumbbells) and I also have a 35-pound Kettlebell that I purchased in 2017 when reading a book written by Tim Ferris about some chick that had a butt that you could stand a shot glass on from doing Kettle Bell swings. I was like “I can do those”, so I got a kettlebell but I stopped doing the exercises though lol.
