I have have been battling my weight since I was 11 years old, and I am now in my mid 40’s. So I was born skinny. The diet I eat is a modified Ketogenic diet but basically, I count carbohydrates. I have always lost weight that way. I think I saw somewhere that basically the Adkins diet is a low carbohydrate diet which is basically the same as the Ketogenic diet. The Keto diet does NOT subtract carbs that are fiber. Also, the Ketogenic diet focuses more on portion control. Which is something I definitely need. I have always eaten the largest portions of food once someone told me that I should go on Man VS Food lol.
This is what I have noticed to be the biggest habits I formed that contribute to weight gain and should be avoided 1) Drinking your calories/carbs The delivery mechanism that liquids have is very fast and your body doesn’t understand the difference between solid food and liquid food and drinking things goes down so fast that the human mind forgets about it. The body does not though liquid calories/carbs are an enemy of weight loss.2) Constant snacking is very bad. For example, let’s say your kid is snacking on something and you grab a couple of his or her chips and munch on them, then you forget about it, that adds up over time and your body will not forget it, but you probably will. I live in America and in America people tend to celebrate with lots of food. I always knew where the big spreads were so those are the places that I would end up, not anymore though because, I do not go anywhere anymore, but I can now see why it was so easy to get fat again after I was skinny, A lot of people get offended if you do not eat anything, so it is better to not go at all, which can be hard if your spouse or child really wants to go.
Starting this month March 10th, 2024 I will post pictures of all of my vitals using all the instruments I got from Amazon.com of course. The O2 meter (orange) I keep charged and in my car but it doesn’t seem to work right it takes 20 seconds when it does work, so I will keep that one in here and order a better one from Amazon. Of course I am now and always have been 5 foot 9. I hope to stay at least that tall, when my grandmother was alive, she used to say all the time to me that “she was growing into the ground” which meant she was getting shorter I guess?

I am in my mid 40’s now and I am 5 Foot 9 inches tall. I am headed for 154 Pounds. My “BMI” says that I will no longer be over weight at 159 Pounds.
